An organisation that believes Internet access is a basic human right is raising $US 150,00 to start to buy a satellite to bring internet access to countries where it is not widespread. Kosta Grammatis of ahumanright.org spoke to a conference in Athens last month about the plan.

The $US 150,000 will be used to produce a business plan to get enough financial backing to bid for the satellite. For more information, or to donate, see buythissatellite.org.
