Queensland Electrical Trades Union might run against ALP candidates to fight privatisation

The Electrical Trades Union's Queensland branch might break away from the Australian Labor Party at its conference next May. The Sunday Mail reported yesterday the union's Queensland State Secretary, Peter Simpson, said the conference would discuss plans to run independent Labour candidates against ALP MPs because the MPs voted to privatise Queensland Rail.
