Police have raided a north Queensland property over the mass sabotage of millions of fruit and vegetables seedlings

Townsville police Inspector David Miles confirmed a raid was under this morning at a property on Euri Creek Road near Bowen.
More than seven million seedlings and a further 16,000 mature plants were destroyed after a saboteur mixed a herbicide into the irrigation system. The effect on the local economy is estimated to be as high as $40 million with many farmers set to struggle through the coming months.
It was the fourth mass crop poisoning in the Bowen region in the past decade and Queensland Police are offering a $200,000 reward to help catch the culprit.
