Two new high-frequency bus services could soon hit our western and southern streets

Transport Minister Rachel Nolan wants 25 new buses to run from Indooroopilly and Garden City to the CBD to prevent overcrowding on the busy 444 and 111 routes.

The CityGlider-style buses would be distinctively coloured and feature pre-paid, all-door boarding.
The Indooroopilly to CBD service would run express with limited stops via Coronation Dve, complementing the overcrowded route 444, whilst the southern service will use the Captain Cook Bridge and stop at all South East Busway stations between Buranda and Eight Mile Plains, complementing the route 111.

Ms Nolan says “We now have the buses available and we’ve written to council about implementing these routes in the coming months.”
