A pro-choice rally will be held outside Parliament House in Brisbane on Saturday June 26. The rally is being organised by the Pro-Choice Action Collective to protest Cherish Life's annual conference which is being held in the Parliamentary Annex on Saturday. Cherish Life's blog maintains that using a drug to terminate a five-day-old foetus is "kill[ing a] newly created unborn child', and says " it seems there are not enough ways for the abortion agressors who can’t seem to help themselves seek more and more ways to destroy these innocent little lives". The rally will also demand that criminal charges be dropped against a young Cairns woman who allegedly imported a drug to terminate her own pregnancy. The rally is at Parliament House, on the corner of George and Alice Streets in Brisbane City, at 9am on Saturday June 26. Click here for a Google Map, and click here for the Facebook event.
