Proposed Centrelink System to Process Multiple Agencys’ Data

1 The Federal Government plans to use Centrelink's server and storage resources to process data on behalf of other agencies.Information management and IT consultant, Roger Clarke is in favour of the technology being appropriately applied however he said a central store of all personal information and could be abused. The proposed system allows information to be shared across agencies meaning customers aren't required to fill in a whole new form when they go from Centrelink to Medicare to the Child Support Agency.
