Approval for Woolworths to Develop on Aboriginal Burial Site

1 The New South Wales Government has approved a Big W store to be built on an Aboriginal burial site. A land claim for the Moree sporting oval was rejected a week ago because it was public recreational space.The New South Wales Lands Minister, Tony Kelly, announced he would approve the sale of part of the ovalto Woolworths for over $2 million. Gomeroi elder Lyall Munro said the decision made a mockery of the oval's indigenous history.
