Huge class action suit targets banks

The big banks are facing one of the biggest class action suits in corporate history, reports say.

Over a dozen banks, including ANZ, NAB and Wespac, will face Victorian court over an estimated 5 billion dollars in unauthorized fees.

After IMF Australia’s announcement yesterday that it would be bankrolling the case, over 2000 people signed up to the class action in less than two hours. James Middleweek from IMF said the target is for more than 100,000.
