LNP MP Stripped of Committee Duties May Add Tension to Parliament Next Week

A Liberal National Party MP was stripped of his committee duties because of disciplinary reasons.

The Member for Beaudesert Aidan McLindon wrote to parliamentary law, justice and safety committee members criticising the disciplinary process.

McLindon was taken off a parliamentary committee in January following a leaked email he wrote, which was critical of the LNP’s direction under Mr Langbroek, he followed this up in a media interview describing colleagues as “bobbleheads”.

LNP treasury spokesman Tim Nicholls said the team was solid behind Mr Langbroek despite concerns this issue will add tension to an LNP party room meeting in Brisbane on Monday, just before parliament sits from Tuesday to Thursday.
