Africans blame God, themselves

The scientific consensus that climate change is caused by human activity is not accepted in many parts of Africa, a new poll reports.

The poll of 1000 Africans in ten countries, conducted by the BBC World Service and the Britain Council, suggested that a slim majority of Africans blame divine retribution for changes in climate, rather than carbon dioxide.

It also suggested that they believed that environmental degradation was caused by themselves or their peers.
