This is a minor first step as to what must be done to help fix the massive problems that drunkeness causes. They should all be closed by midnight really. Our tolerance for drunken stupidity has gone way too far and this “club scene” crap is something that should not be allowed. If it involves people all taking this stupid drug (alcohol) together, it is not a valid pastime. Getting drunk is a disgusting, disgraceful, feral thing to do. And these people (DJ’s etc), make a “living” from our national disgrace, drunkeness.
The “live music scene” was killed by the pokies.
What they have now is some dumbass playing mp3’s and calling themselves a musician. A cheap immitation of music, fuelled by a cheap & nasty drug. How wonderfully civilised of us.
And to you people who don;t like it, BITE ME!!!
I will be at your bodgey “rally” and i’m ready to kick some ass!!!

  2. Shane, there’s a full report of the rally at http://www.brisbaneblog.info/2010/03/photos-video-sound-from-quensland.html

Could I suggest you listen to some of the speeches there from people you’d call “real” musicians, and a speech by the owner of Bar Soma who wants harsher penalties for drunken violence?
