Native aspirin found

Native lemon Grass used as a traditional medicine by Indigenous Australians relieves headaches and migraines, Griffith University researchers have found.

The grass was found to inhibit blood platelets clumping together, which can cut off blood to the brain, among other effects.

The drug has an effect similar to aspirin.
