Indigenous youth program looks for further funding

A program said to “offer new hope” to Indigenous youth in disadvantaged communities is looking for more funding from the government, the ABC reported.

The four-week training and life skilling program has only involved young men so far.

The success of the program means they want to expand and commence a girls’ program.

Over 50 per cent of those who have completed the program now have jobs or are undertaking further education.
