A major modification of the transit system is planned by the State government and many Brisbane bus routes will be modified as of the 22 of February, the Brisbane Times reports.
Transport Minister Rachel Nolan announced the shakeup yesterday.
In particular, Route 109 will be redirected and route 66 lengthened. Also effected will be the 139, 412, the 169, 160, 206 and several others.
Costing three million dollars, and creating an extra 385 services a week, the change is focused on better service to the University of Queensland and the Royal Brisbane and Royal Children’s hospitals.
The minister claims that this is in response to public pressure from commuters.
