Brisbane game sharer fined

A Brisbane game player who illegally copied and distributed a game will face a 1.5 million dollar fine the Courier Mail reports.

After receiving an copy of Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros Wii six days prior to it’s official release of November 12, James Burt, 24, then offered the game online for download.

The website has since been shut down.

According the Nintendo’s legal representatives Maddocks Lawyers in Melbourne the game has already been downloaded thousands of times.
