Go Card Loop Hole

Long Distance commuters in south-east Queensland are exploiting a loophole in the go card system to pay less in fares.

Commuters using trains to travel more than seven zones are finding it cheaper to pay the five dollar penalty for failing to swipe their go card.

A spokesman from TrainsLink says this costs commuters 16 million dollars a year and the lost revenue could be spent on additional services and expanding the transport network.
