A property investment group have ignored environmentalists saying the Sunshine Coast could take thousands of residents to ease growth problems.
The Property Council of Australia compared the population density of the Sunshine Coast, 100 people per square kilometer to the Gold Coast, with 367 and Brisbane City with 775 people per square kilometer.
Sunshine Coast Mayor, Bob Abbott and environmentalists say population density isn’t the only thing to take into account. Character, amenities, livability and vital green space are all essential components of an area.
