Swine flu vaccination recommendations

Queensland Health figures have shown that only one in ten Queenslanders have had the swine flu vaccination.

Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young told the Courier Mail that she would like to see this increased to at least 40 percent prior to next flu season which could be as early as next month.

Dr Young recommended parents of children heading back to school should consider getting their child vaccinated.

Pregnant women were also advised to get immunised as they are at a much greater risk from swine flu.
