Aussie Soldiers at Risk of Mental Illness

Deployment in foreign war zones is taking its toll on Australia’s young soldiers, according to the Australian Medical Association Queensland (AMAQ).

The AMAQ says that drug abuse and mental health issues are common in soldiers returning from overseas, but are not addressed appropriately.

The Australian Defence Force, however, claims that they conduct drug testing among soldiers, reducing the incidence of drug abuse and health concerns.
